Kobelco Excavator No Movement All Functions | 4 Step Quick Fix
Kobelco Excavator No Movement All Functions | 4 Step Quick Fix (Free Check)
Overview
No movement, no action at all is one of the most common faults on Kobelco excavators. You can check and fix it yourself for free before calling a technician. This article shows the 4-step easiest check from 19-year experienced Kobelco mechanic:
Safety Lock Fuse (10A red)
Safety Lock Limit Switch
Safety Lock Solenoid Valve(24db50)
Pilot Pump
Most Kobelco no-movement issues are small problems — fuse, switch, solenoid. You can fix without replacing expensive parts.
Step 1: Check Safety Lock Fuse (10A Red)
Turn ignition key ON
Push down safety lock — check if monitor beeps
If NO beep → check fuse box near seat
Find 10A RED fuse for safety lock
If fuse blown → replace with new 10A fuse

Step 2: Check Safety Lock Limit Switch
If fuse is OK → check limit switch
Pry off 4 corner plastic covers
Remove cover screws and shell
Check if switch can fully press in
If not → bend metal sheet slightly
If yes → short red + black wires
If monitor beeps → switch is faulty

Step 3: Check Safety Lock Solenoid Valve(24db50)
Remove main control valve cover
Find vertical 8‑bank valve
Locate safety lock solenoid 24db50
Loosen 12mm nut
Push inner rod flush with surface
Tighten nut back
Test machine — if moves → solenoid failed

Step 4: Check Pilot Pump
If solenoid is OK → check pilot pump
Disconnect pilot pipe
Start engine
Check if oil flows out from pilot filter
No oil flow → pilot pump broken

Final Conclusion
No beep when lowering safety lock → fuse or limit switch
Still no movement → safety solenoid 24db50
No pilot oil → pilot pump
